These excerpts are used in compliance with HIPAA de-identification standards and applicable federal and state confidentiality laws.
HHM may reference or display content that individuals have shared on publicly accessible platforms such as Google Reviews, Facebook, Reddit, or other open forums where the author has made the content visible to the general public. Only information already public is used; protected health information (PHI) and substance-use disorder treatment details covered under HIPAA or 42 CFR Part 2 are never published.
When a testimonial or success story is submitted directly to HHM, we obtain written or recorded consent (“authorization”) before using that content. Individuals who later wish to withdraw consent may request removal at any time. Once a verified request is received, removal occurs within seventy-two (72) hours.
